How to pick a correct size for banner or sign:
It is very important that you pick a correct size for your banner. For outdoor uses, banners must be larger not only in size, but also in print. Larger print lettering must be used to increase the impact of your banner or sign. It is best to keep the writing to two or three lines. If the sign is too busy, it loses its purpose for a an eye catching advertisement.
Vinyl Cut Banners:
Vinyl Cut Banners are made on our digitally cut plotters. In order for the plotter to cut out vinyl banner letters and graphics, you must provide us with vector outlined files of your banner. Images will not work because a plotter will not be able to determine the outline of the banner contents. Vector (outlined) files can be created using Corel Draw, Adobe Illustrator, Inkscape, Xara Xtreme, Adobe Fireworks or DrawPlus.
This type of banners can be used for inside and outside advertising without images (but with vector graphics, or logo) and without gradient fill.
Digitally Printed Vinyl Banners or Full Color Banners:
Vinyl Banners can be printed using our large format digital printers. In order to maintain good quality, the image size has to be at least 72dpi for billboard banners, 150 dpi for street or building banners, and 300 dpi for trade show banners. The above resolutions are suggested for actual size graphic designs. If the graphic design is smaller than actual size, the resolution has to be larger. It is still recommended to use vector files for vinyl banners printing because the image can be scaled to any size. However, images can work if you follow above guidelines. |
